Tanah Aina (Aina’s Land) seeks to preserve one of the country’s natural splendors, the irreplaceable treasure of Malaysia - the Malaysian Rainforest. The forest is reputed to be one of the oldest, if not the oldest rainforest in the world, far older than the great Amazon.

The unabated assault on this priceless treasure appears to be increasing by the day, giving way to man’s unfettered commercial ambitions. This dreadful situation demands that we take some form of affirmative action to save what remains. Every single day, we receive reports of massive deforestation and illegal logging which has, in many instances, lead to tragic natural disasters. For instance, the incidence of the massive land slide at Bukit Antarabangsa could be well quoted as one the many consequences that we,” the most brilliant being” on planet earth, have had to face.

Most of us nowadays tend to forget the importance of the forest to earth’s delicate ecosystem. We seem to forget the catastrophes that have happened and continue to happen due to the blind arrogance amongst ourselves.How much longer do we have to wait and do nothing? Hence, with the creation of this site, we hope to increase our awareness of the deteriorating state of our precious forests that is caused by faulty and greedy human activities.
